“For many years I have always wanted to dress in my finest underwear and pose in front of a camera but the thought of actually doing so actually filled me with dread so I kept this urge to myself.
I had been happy to put on a lovely sexy outfit, apply makeup to the best of my limited ability and put on a nice wig as I much prefer the various options available rather than spend hours trying to style my one hair and failing miserably and I felt at total ease in the privacy of my own home.
After all nobody knew well except maybe the postman or a courier driver as often I dared to open the door to receive parcels, but they were so polite and never passed comment be it with me standing their in a nice dress stockings and heels or maybe even just in my undies! A pleasant smile and a good day mam the only real comments.
Well that was really my life during the COVID lockdown happy to pose for selfies maybe in the garden or take a few snaps whilst doing the household chores - often hanging out the washing as I received an appreciative toot from the train driver as he passed the bottom of the garden.
It was a few years on when I started to experiment with actual boudoir photography initially just a one off experience with a studio up North but once I tried it I was hooked and that’s when I found BYB Photography who were very different and encouraged me to venture out of my closet so to speak.
I was made to feel totally at ease with the process feeling so natural as I was greeted at the door as if a seasoned model, the upcoming shoot then fully discussed and explained in advance - mood boards and images explored and outfits selected … the fact that many were just stockings heels and skimpy undies sets no longer a concern.
Then the magic happened the suppressed me was transformed into something beautiful. Pampered by Codie as she transformed this plain Jane into the vision I had always longed to be.. I gave her full creative license and the result certainly did not disappoint.
Then all the preparation fell into place the numerous discussions with Nicola had been passed on to Mel, who just captured the real me - not snap snap snap like some studios but each image carefully composed the result captured in her mind before the camera shutter was even pressed.
A totally liberating experience that I would recommend to anyone which if you haven’t already guessed allowed this Trans girl to burst out of her secretive existence and shine in her full glory”. Patricia x
